Focus and Leverage Part 275

I recently received an email from one of my followers of this blog asking which posting has received the most page views, so I decided to look into this question.  What I discovered somewhat surprised me.  I don’t know what I was expecting, but the results were nonetheless surprising for me.  I looked at the top 10 postings to help answer this question and arrived at the following Pareto-type analysis, but as you will see, Pareto does not apply here:

So here it is, my top 10 postings in terms of the number of page views by readers of this blog, but it isn’t telling the whole story.  These top 10 postings only account for 21,031 page views of the total 150,172 page views since I started writing this blog and the top posting, Part 227 only accounts for roughly 3.3% of the total.  So I guess what it’s telling me is that I should actually be sorting through all of my postings, categorize them and then develop the total number of page views by category.  Maybe I will do that in the future. I have also been asked to create an index of all postings so that readers can pick and choose postings based upon what they’re interested in.  I will do that, but it will take some time.
